O R D E R

% 29.09.2016 Petitioner made an application before the Director General (Prisons) for grant of furlough, which has been rejected vide order dated 4th April, 2016 on the ground that petitioner is a habitual offender and has been punished in the year 2014.

Paras 26.1 and 26.2 of Parole/Furlough:

Guidelines, 2010 envisage that to obtain furlough, the petitioner must have good conduct in the prison and should have earned three 'Annual Good Conduct Remissions' and continues to maintain good conduct and also prisoner should not be a habitual offender. It is stated in the status report that petitioner has past criminal records and is a habitual offender. Details

of the cases have been given.

Accordingly, petition is dismissed.
