Learned Standing Counsel accepts notice and has filed status report.
By this writ petition, petitioner has prayed that respondent nos. 2 and 3 be directed to provide protection to the petitioner, his family members and eye-witnesses and take action against the accused persons. In the status report, it has been stated that on the complaint of Aasma D/o Mohd.
Rehman R/o A-65, Sunder Nursery, Nizamuddin, Delhi, one FIR has been
registered. During the course of hearing, learned Standing Counsel submits that FIR No. 334/2016 under Section 302 IPC has been registered in the Police Station Hazarat Nizamuddin, inasmuch as accused, namely, Al-Amin @ Lefty has been arrested and sent to judicial custody. Investigations are in progress. It is further submitted that investigations are being done on dayto-day basis. Learned Standing Counsel further submits that safety of the petitioner and witnesses would be ensured by sensitizing beat staff as well as Station House Officer. Their phone numbers will also be provided to the petitioner and other witnesses. Ordered accordingly. In view of this statement, writ petition is disposed of. Dasti.
