The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, impugning an order dated 11.03.2016, whereby the petitioner has been denied the passport facilities on the ground that the petitioner had applied for political asylum in Frankfurt, Germany. The impugned order dated 11.03.2016 also indicates that it is a standard format order that is being passed by the concerned authorities. The aforesaid issue stands covered by the decision of the Division Bench of this Court in LPA 13/2016 captioned as 'Union of India
& Anr. v. Satnam Singh' and other connected matters decided on 12.01.2018. This Court has also directed respondent no.1 to issue necessary directions to ensure that the concerned authorities pass orders having regard to the orders passed by the Division Bench of this Court. 4.
In view of the above, the present petition is allowed and the impugned order dated 11.03.2016 is set aside. The respondents are directed to ensure that the petitioner's application for a passport is processed and he is provided the passport facilities within a period of four weeks from today subject to the petitioner complying with all other conditions. 5.
