CRL.M.C. 3748/2018 The petitioner had earlier lodged a complaint with the police alleging offences punishable under Sections 418/420/403/409/120-B IPC. Since the police did not act on the said complaint, he moved an application under Section 156(3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Cr.P.C.) before the court of Metropolitan Magistrate. Pursuant to the directions of the Magistrate, by order dated 03.05.2018, the police eventually registered First Information Report (FIR) No.0160/2018 in Police Station Moti Nagar, indicating in the relevant column that it was an FIR to take up investigation into offence punishable under Section 406 IPC. CRL.M.C. 3748/2018

The grievances of the petitioner are that other far serious offences are being ignored and that the names of the persons who have committed these crimes have not been mentioned in the relevant column on the opening sheet of the FIR.

After some hearing, the counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner would be satisfied if suitable directions are given to the police to bear in mind the allegations made in the complaint which has been translated into FIR so that a complete probe as to all offences which have been committed are taken care of and action is taken against all persons who have been complicit.

Ordered accordingly.

The petition is disposed of with these observations. R.K.GAUBA, J.
