It is informed that 'Status Report' with respect to death of Appellant Ram Chander has been filed yesterday on behalf of the CBI, but it could not come on record. Learned SPP for CBI has filed report with respect to the factum of death of Ram Chander, be taken on record. Considering the fact that Appellant Ram Chander was convicted vide impugned judgment, pursuant to which he was sentenced to undergo punishment of sentence and payment of fine too, therefore an opportunity is required to be given to LRs of deceased appellant Ram Chander, to come and pursue the appeal, if they so wish.

Counsel(s) for both the sides are given liberty to file application, as has been sought on behalf of the Appellant, with respect to the clubbing of the Appeals in a suitable manner, if a better arrangement is there than the one in place (originating from the same impugned judgment). 5.

At this stage, Mr. Riyasat has appeared in CRL.A. 605/2016 and submitted that he is surety of the Appellant-Naieem Safi and the brother of Appellant namely Ateek could not get entry into the premises of the High Court, otherwise he has also come. He has also seconded the factum of death of Appellant-Naieem Safi, report qua which has been filed by the CBI, verifying the death of Appellant- Naieem Safi. 2.
It is informed further that the fine imposed upon the Appellant on 26.05.2016 was deposited on that very day through receipt no. 434268, dated 26.05.2026, copy of which is also part of record. 3.
