O R D E R

% 27.07.2016 Petitioner no1. and respondent no.2 have already obtained a decree of divorce in view of the compromise arrived at between them vide compromise deed dated 5th May, 2015.

Petitioner nos.2 & 3 are relatives of petitioner no.1. Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been verified by SI Neha Police Station GTB Enclave.

Respondent no.2 admits the compromise and submits that she has received the entire settled amount. She further submits that she has no objection if the present FIR is quashed. Keeping in mind the facts that during the investigation, petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have decided to part their ways and the marriage has

been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent, no fruitful purpose would be served by keeping the criminal proceedings pending.

Accordingly, the FIR No.126/2015 under Sections 498A/406 IPC registered at Police Station GTB Enclave and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
