% 18.07.2016 Marital discard between the petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 had resulted in registration of present FIR No.716/2014 under section 498A/406/34 IPC at police station Uttam Nagar. Petitioner no.2 is father and petitioner nos.3 & 4 are sisters of petitioner no.1. Husband and wife have settled their disputes before the Delhi Mediation Center, Tis Hazazri Courts, Delhi on 29th May, 2015 on the terms and conditions as recorded therein. Husband and wife have already obtained decree of divorce in the terms of settlement. All other litigations between the parties are stated to have been settled and diposed of in view of the settlement. Final payment of settled amount has been made by petitioner no.1 to respondent no.2 by way of demand draft of Rs.1 Lakh, photocopy whereof has been placed on

record. Respondent no.2 is present in Court and submits that she has no objection, if the present FIR has qashed.

Since husband and wife has settled their disputes, no fruitful purpose would be served by keeping the criminal proceedings pending. In the interest of justice, the FIR No.716/2014 under section 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Uttam Nagar and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti. A.K. PATHAK, J.
