CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK
O R D E R
% 23.08.2018 Respondent no.2-Ms. Sakshi Batra is present in Court and has been identified by SI Mahavir Singh of police station Rajouri Garden. Respondent no.2 submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion in terms of Deed of Compromise dated 11th July, 2018. Respondent no. 2 submits that, in view of the settlement arrived at with the petitioner, she has no objection in case FIR no. 99/2017 under Sections 354-B/506 IPC registered at police station Rajouri Garden and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed against the petitioner.
Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in
the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
