CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE VIBHU BAKHRU

O R D E R

% 24.04.2017 The petitioner has filed these applications seeking that time for

making the award be extended. It is stated that the arbitrator was appointed in January, 2016 and the period of 12 months as contemplated under Section 29A(1) of the award expired in January, 2017. The parties consented to enlargement of time by a further period of six months which will expire in July, 2017.

The learned counsel for the parties submits that the records in the case are extensive and, therefore, time would be required for the arbitrator to complete the proceedings and make the award. The learned counsel for the respondent also joins the learned counsel for the petitioner in requesting that the time be extended for a further period of six months. Accordingly, the time for making the award is enlarged for a further period of over six months; the arbitrator shall make the award on or before 31.01.2018.

The petitions are disposed of.
