The petitioner/applicant has filed the present application pointing out that the order dated 15.12.2016 has not been complied with inasmuch as the petitioner's representation has not been disposed of by a speaking order within a period of four weeks, as directed.

It is stated that almost seven months have elapsed since the petitioner made his representation to the Consulate General at Houston.

Learned counsel for the respondents seeks a further period of one week and assures this Court that the representation of the petitioner will be disposed of within a period of one week.

In view of the assurance given by learned counsel for the respondents,

this application is disposed of with a liberty to the petitioner to file a contempt petition in case the petitioner's representation is not disposed of by the respondents within a period of one week.
