% 08.05.2015 Respondent no. 4 is father of petitioner no.1; whereas respondent nos. 5 and 6 are her brother and uncle.

Petitioner no.1 has married petitioner no.2 of her own free will in Arya Samaj Mandir. She is major. This fact is not disputed.

They have approached this Court for police protection on the ground that they are being threatened by the respondent nos. 4 to 6. Respondent nos. 4 to 6 are present in Court and submit that they have never threatened the petitioners nor have any intention to cause any harm to them. They further submit that if petitioner no.1 has married petitioner no.2 of her own free will then they have no objections. Respondent no. 4

submits that mother of petitioner no.1 is present and she would like to talk to petitioner no.1. However, petitioner no.1 has declined to talk to her mother. She submits that she is not willing to meet any of her family members at present.

Learned Additional Standing Counsel submits that telephone numbers of Beat Constables/Divisional Officer/Station House Officer have been provided to the petitioners in order to facilitate them to contact said officials in case of any threat extended by any of the respondents and on receipt of such information immediate steps would be taken to ensure their safety. It is further submitted that Beat Constable would otherwise visit the house of petitioners to enquire about their well being. Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. Dasti.
