The petitioners have filed the present petition impugning the minutes of meeting dated 05.09.2017 of the Lawyers Chamber Allotment Committee (LCAC), Saket, New Delhi. 2.

The petitioners grievance is that the persons who had been enrolled in the Bar, subsequent to the petitioner have been allotted Chambers, while the petitioner has been excluded. He submits that the Chambers ought to be allotted according to seniority and that the decision of the LCAC in adopting a different criteria is liable to be struck down.

This Court is unable to accept the aforesaid contention. The

LCAC had in its meeting held on 05.09.2017, set down the eligibility criteria for scrutinising various applications for allotment of Chambers. The said criteria was set out with the object of ensuring that the Advocates who are practising in Saket Court Complex (South & South East District) are eligible for allotment of such chambers. As stated above, this Court finds no infirmity with the said criteria. The same is neither arbitrary nor unreasonable.

The petition stands dismissed. The application is also disposed of.
