O R D E R

% 06.04.2017 Learned counsel for the petitioner has placed before this Court the copy of the FIR No. 67/2017 dated 03.04.2017 registered at police station Kotwali, Meerut, under Section 295A IPC. A perusal of the same shows that the residence of the petitioner was found to be locked when police went to inspect his premises with a view to ascertain whether any beef is kept therein. The FIR pertains to a sting operation carried out by India TV News Channel wherein the petitioner is shown as claiming that he could supply beef.

In view of the aforesaid, the petitioner is provided transit bail. He shall not be arrested for a period of 10 working days from today subject to the condition that at the end of the said period, he shall surrender before the concerned Court. This is further subject to the condition that

he shall furnish his own personal bond for a sum of Rs. 25,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of the concerned CMM, Karkardooma Courts, within whose jurisdiction, the petitioner's address at Delhi falls. He shall not tamper with any evidence or influence any possible witnesses in the case.

The bail application stands disposed of.
