W.P.(CRL) 2082/2016 Issue notice. Ms. Rao accepts notice. Notice is accepted by respondent no.2, who is present in Court. He has produced his PAN card as proof of his identity. He is identified by the I.O.

This petition has been preferred to seek the quashing of FIR No.60/2016 under section 365/323/506/34 IPC registered at PS Jaffarpur, New Delhi, on the complaint of respondent no.2 against the petitioner.

The petition is premised on a settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no.2 on 25.06.2016 - copy whereof has been placed on record. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in view of the said settlement, the FIR in question be quashed. Respondent no.2, who is present in Court, states that he has settled the disputes with the petitioner. He further states that he has compromised out of his own free will and that he does not wish to pursue the complaint. He states that he has not been subjected to any threat or coercion for entering into settlement. In view of the aforesaid, no useful purpose would be served in continuing with further investigation or proceedings in the aforesaid FIR. Subject to deposit of Rs.10,000/- with the Prime Minister Relief Fund within two weeks, the FIR stands quashed. Receipt of payment of costs shall be deposited with the I.O.

Petition stands disposed of.
