In the counter affidavit filed on behalf of the respondent No.2/University Grants Commission it is stated that the UGC in its meeting held on 25.03.2015 had invited the Union of India, Ministry of Human Resource and Development to convey its concurrence to the proposed UGC (Establishment of Standards and Maintenance thereof in Private Universities) Regulations, 2014.

The learned counsel for the respondent No.2, on instructions, states that the said regulations have not yet been finalised. W.P.(C) 7213/2013

Hence, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the writ petition with liberty to file a fresh petition in case necessity thereof arises.

Accordingly, granting leave and liberty, the writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn.
