HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK

O R D E R

% 01.08.2016 Crl. M.A. No. 11521/2016 Allowed, subject to all just exceptions. Application is disposed of. W.P.(CRL) 2202/2016 Disputes between the husband and wife had led to registration of the FIR no. 128/2015 under Sections 498-A/406/506/34 IPC at Police Station Karawal Nagar, Delhi on the complaint of respondent no. 2. Petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 were married on 21st April, 2011. With the passage of

time, their relation became sour. Petitioner nos. 2 to 4 are relatives of the petitioner no. 1.

Petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably vide Compromise Deed dated 21st June, 2016. First motion moved by the petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 has been accepted by the Family Court on 28th July, 2016. Respondent no. 2 is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by the Investigating Officer/ASI Harbir Singh, P.S. Karawal Nagar, Delhi. Respondent no. 2 submits that she has no objection in case FIR is quashed. Keeping in mind the facts that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have decided to part their ways, no fruitful purpose would be served by keeping the criminal proceedings pending. In the interest of justice, the FIR no. 128/2015 under Sections 498-A/406/506/34 IPC registered at Police Station Karawal Nagar, Delhi and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. Dasti. A.K. PATHAK, J.
