O R D E R

% 01.08.2016 The petitioner has filed the present petition seeking quashing of FIR No.17/2015 registered on the complaint of the complainant under Section 498A/406/34 IPC against the petitioners. The parties have arrived at a settlement vide MOU dated 21.08.2015.

The complainant who is present in Court is identified by the IO as well as the counsel. She has also produced the election ID card as proof of identity.

In terms of the settlement, out of Rs.2.50 lacs, Rs.1.70 lacs already stands paid and the balance amount of Rs.80,000/- has been paid in court today. In view of the above, the complainant also joins the prayer for

quashing of the FIR in question.

Accordingly, no useful purpose would be served in proceeding further with the FIR in question and the proceedings arising therefrom. The same are hereby quashed.
