CM(M) 688/2016 Petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that in spite of pendency of her application since July, 2015 her application under Section 24 of the Hindu Marriage Act has not been decided.

Next date fixed before the Family Judge is stated to be in November, 2016. Contention of the petitioner is that pleadings are also yet complete and the whole object of the provisions of the HMA Act as embodied under Section 24 of the said Act are defeated as this application has to be decided within a time bond frame. Noting the above contention, the learned Family Judge will endeavour to dispose of that application expeditiously and preferably within an outer limit of 60 days from the date of November, 2016.

No further orders are called for in this petition. Petition disposed of in the above terms.
