This writ petition has been filed on the allegations that the respondents are unauthorisedly laying sewer line in the J.J.Camp, Shashi Garden, Delhi-110091 in violation of the mandate of the Constitution of India.

It is submitted by Mr.D.K.Devesh, learned counsel appearing for the EDMC, that the function of laying sewer line is not the job of the municipal corporation and no such lines are being laid by it. It is further submitted that laying of water & sewer line is purely in the domain of the Delhi Jal Board, which has not been impleaded as a party.

Be that as it may, ensuring that seweage is properly channelized through sewer lines, would certainly be in public interest. This writ petition is, therefore, completely misconceived.
