O R D E R

% 12.04.2017 Since the final assessment orders are appealable under Section 127 of the Electricity Act, 2003, this Court is of the view that the petitioner has an alternative effective remedy.

To facilitate filing of an appeal, this Court directs that in the event, the appeal is filed within a period of two weeks, the same shall not be dismissed on the ground of limitation.

It is also directed that for next two weeks, no coercive action shall be taken against the petitioner.

Consequently, present writ petition and application are disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to file an appeal under Section 127 of the Electricity Act, 2003.

This Court clarifies that it has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the controversy. Rights and contentions of all parties are left open. Order dasti.
