CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK

O R D E R

% 21.12.2016 Petitioners have prayed for quashing of FIR 510/2014 under Sections 323/341/506/34 IPC registered at police station Chhawla on 27th August, 2014, on the complaint of respondent no.2. Petitioners and respondent no.2 are living in the same locality and are known to each other. Disputes over a wall resulted in a quarrel between them.

Respondent no.2 and petitioners have settled their disputes with the intervention of their common friends and other family members.

Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by SI Shambhu Sah. Respondent no.2 admits having settled the matter with the petitioners.

She further submits that she is not willing to pursue the FIR any further in view of the settlement and the same may be quashed. Keeping in mind that petitioners and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably and respondent no.2 is not willing to pursue the FIR any further, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR 510/2014 under Sections 323/341/506/34 IPC registered at police station Chhawla and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. A.K. PATHAK, J.
