% 03.08.2016 A complaint under Section 328/380/376/366/506/120-B/411 IPC was filed by the respondent No.2. The petitioners were summoned as accused by the learned Trial Court. Now the parties have settled the matter. Offence punishable under Section 376 IPC is a serious offence and no complaint with such serious allegations can be quashed on the basis that the parties have settled the matter in view of the decision of the Supreme Court in Gian Singh Vs. State of Punjab & Anr. 2012 (10) SCC 303. Petition is dismissed.
