% 16.11.2016 The petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents to delete the observation that the validity of the passport should not be extended without prior reference to the mission (i.e. Consulate General of India, United Arab Emirates) and further that the passport is valid between UAE and India only. It is contended that the representation has also been filed with the respondents on 19.05.2016 and, till date, the same has not been decided. Learned counsel for the respondents submits that the representation is under consideration and certain inputs have been sought for from certain agencies and, on receipt of the inputs, the representation would be disposed of.

The respondents are directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner expeditiously, preferably within a period of two months from today.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
