% 10.08.2016 Crl.M.A. 12355/2016 Exemption allowed subject to just exceptions. CRL.M.C. 2882/2016 By the present petition the petitioners seek quashing of FIR No.387/2016 under Sections 392/34 IPC on the ground that the parties have settled the matter.

Offence punishable under Section 392 being serious in nature, the above-noted FIR cannot be quashed in view of the decision of the Supreme Court in Gian Singh Vs. State of Punjab & Anr. (2012) 10 SCC 303. Petition is dismissed.
