LPA 390/2018 and CM No. 29682/2018 (u/s 151 CPC on behalf of the R-1 and R-2 Issue notice.

We are constrained to issue notice as it appears that the appellant/nonapplicant is construing the order dated 19.07.2018 to mean that candidates against 25 seats shown in the waiting/provisional list could be denied admission if the deadline of 15.08.2018 is crossed. The entire purpose and object of passing the said consent order was to

ensure that the candidates against 25 seats shown in the waiting/provisional list would be given admissions, if the decision in the writ petition is in favour of the respondent.

The statement made by the counsel for the appellant/non-applicant would in fact, defeat the very purpose and object of the consent given. Learned counsel for the appellant/non-applicant, at this stage, prays for some time to obtain instructions.
