W.P.(CRL) 2315/2018 Issue notice. Ms. Kamna Vohra accepts notice on behalf of the State. The petitioners seek protection to their life and limb as well as protection against illegal confinement by respondents 4 to 8. The learned counsel for the State submits that the parties have met each other and efforts are underway to settle the lis amicably. Let this petition be treated as a representation to the DCP. The concerned SHO shall accord appropriate protection to the petitioners. Response of the police will be communicated to the petitioners within a period of 10 days. The petitioners shall also be provided with telephone
numbers of three police officers from the jurisdiction of the concerned Police Station of which one shall be of a lady police officer. These numbers shall be kept operational at all times so that any exigency can be intimated on either of the numbers by the petitioners. Ms. Vohra further states that any message received on the said numbers or on any other telephone number of the police either by way of a telephone call or SMS shall be immediately responded to.
No further orders are required at this stage. The petition stands disposed-off accordingly. NAJMI WAZIRI, J.
