O R D E R

% 25.07.2016 Dispute between husband and wife had led to the registration of present FIR No.335/2014 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC at Police Station Civil Lines.

Petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 were married on 6th November, 2011.

Petitioner nos.2 to 5 are the relatives of petitioner no.1. Petitioner no.1 & respondent no.2 have settled their disputes before the Mediation Centre, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi on 16th September, 2014. They decided to part their ways and have obtained a decree of divorce. Respondent no.2 admits that the compromise has been arrived at. It is also admitted that decree of divorce has been passed. It is also admitted that the entire settled amount has been received by her. Respondent no.2 has no objection, in case the FIR is quashed.

Keeping in mind the fact that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled the matter and have taken a decree of divorce, no fruitful purpose would be served by keeping the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, the FIR No.335/2014 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Civil Lines and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Respondent no.2 further submits that she has no objection for quashing of another FIR No.1448/2014 under Sections 341/506 IPC registered at Police Station Mehrauli in view of the compromise, in the other petition which has already been filed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
