Learned APP accepts notice for respondent no. 1.

Respondent no.2-Ms. Rakhi Verma is present in Court and accepts notice. She has been identified by SI Ajay Swami of police station Mansarover Park.

Respondent no.2 submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner no. 1 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion, inasmuch as she says that she has settled the matter with petitioner no. 1 and is living with him since five months. Respondent no. 2 further says that she is not willing to pursue the FIR no. 714/2014 under

Sections 498-A/34 registered at Police Station Mansarover Park and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom may be quashed against the petitioner no. 1 and his relatives, that is, petitioner nos. 2 to 5. Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous applications are disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
