W.P.(CRL) 2146/2016 On the complaint of respondent no. 2, present FIR No. 566/2015 under Section 135 of the Indian Electricity Act, 1910 read with Section 379 of the IPC was registered at Police Station Jamia Nagar for the electricity theft. Investigation is still pending.

Petitioner and respondent no. 2 have settled the matter.

Petitioner has paid the entire amount in terms of the settlement arrived at between the parties regarding the theft bill.

Respondent no. 2 has no objection in case FIR is quashed. In view of the settlement arrived at between the parties, terms whereof have been complied with, FIR No. 566/2015 under Section 135 of the Indian Electricity Act, 1910 read with Section 379 of the IPC registered at Police Station Jamia Nagar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom, if any, are quashed.

Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. Dasti.
