Two opportunities have been granted to the respondents to verify the status of the Departmental appeal filed by the petitioner on 01.8.2014 and pending before the Appellate Authority.

Today, learned counsel for the respondents hands over a copy of the order dated 10.1.2018 passed by the Appellate Authority, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India wherein, the order dated 12.5.2014 passed by the Disciplinary Authority has been set aside. A copy of the said order is taken on record.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that in view of the aforesaid order, nothing further survives for adjudication in the present petition. However, the respondents may be directed to pass appropriate orders with W.P.(C) 9584/2017

regard to the consequential relief that shall flow in favour of the petitioner in view of the order dated 10.1.2018 passed by the Appellate Authority. 4.

The petition is disposed of along with the pending application with a direction to the respondents to pass appropriate orders with regard to the consequential reliefs that the petitioner shall be entitled to, within eight weeks under written intimation to him.
