% 02.08.2016 The petitioner has filed the present petition seeking quashing of FIR No.558 /2014 under Section 406/498A/34 IPC registered at PS Kotla Mubarkapur on the complaint of the complainant against the petitioner. The complainant is present in Court. She is identified by her counsel as well as by the I.O.

The parties have arrived at a settlement which has been placed on record. Out of the settlement amount of Rs.1.53 crores, Rs.1 crore already stands paid and the balance amount of Rs.53 lacs has been paid in court today by pay order. The complainant also joins the prayer for quashing of the FIR in question, and states that she has entered into the settlement out of her own free will.

Accordingly, no useful purpose would be served in proceeding further with the FIR in question and the proceedings arising therefrom. The same are hereby quashed.
