The present petition has been instituted on behalf of a student of Jawahar Lal Nehru University, praying as follows :- "Issue a writ in the nature of Certiorari quashing the order No. 100/CP/2018 dated 4th July, 2018 by the Chief Proctor of the University imposing punishment on petitioner and to declare the proceedings resulting in such punishment as void being violative of the fundamental and constitutional rights of the Petitioner and to order refund of the fine amount paid by petitioner...."

With the consent of the parties, the petition has been heard finally and is disposed of with the following order :-

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner states that the petitioner shall file the requisite undertaking, as reproduced hereinbelow, with the Proctor of the Jawaharlal Nehru University:- UNDERTAKING "I......................S/o. D/o................has gone through the contents of the Order dt. 12 October, 2017 of the Hon'ble Delhi High Court and do hereby solemnly undertake that I will not indulge in any strike or dharna or agitation or coercive action in future in connection with the issue as per the direction of the Hon'ble High Court in the aforesaid order.

I further undertake that I will also abide by all the rules and regulations of the University, in vogue.

In view of the circumstances that the fine of Rs. 5,000/- imposed upon the petitioner, in terms of the impugned order has since been deposited by the latter, subject to the petitioner filing the above undertaking with the Proctor of the Jawahar Lal Nehru University, during the course of the day, the Jawahar Lal Nehru University shall not give effect to the impugned order. Needless to state that, in terms of the present directions, the impugned order shall not reflect on the academic record of the

petitioner.

The petition is disposed of.

A copy of this order be given dasti to counsel for the parties, under the signatures of the Court Master.
