% 26.07.2018 This petition seeks quashing of FIR No.511/2016 registered under sections 384/365 IPC at Police Station - Jyoti Nagar on the basis of a Compromise Deed/Deed of Settlement dated 23.07.2018. Mr. Sanjay Lao, the learned counsel for the State at the outset submits that no case is made out for quashing of the FIR because the petitioner who is a Constable in Delhi Police, is alleged to have kidnapped the complainant and out of the ransom amount of Rs.1 lac, Rs.96,000/- was found on his person. He submits that the crime of this nature especially where personnel of the uniformed force are involved, have to be dealt with extreme seriousness and no case is made out for quashing of the FIR on the basis of a settlement.

The learned counsel for the petitioner seeks to withdraw the petition. It is dismissed as withdrawn.
