The petitioner has challenged the order dated 23rd January, 2016 passed by the respondent/ITBP whereunder he was issued a rejection slip when he had appeared for a medical test for recruitment to the post of Constable (Driver). Further, the petitioner has challenged an order dated 23rd June, 2016, passed by the respondent declaring him unfit for appointment on compassionate grounds being declared as medically unfit in the Review Medical Examination. 2.

At the outset, we have requested learned counsel for the petitioner to explain the inordinate delay on the part of the petitioner and that too in a matter of appointment, in seeking legal recourse. We may add here that no explanation worth the name has been offered for W.P.(C) 9061/2018 Page No.1 of 2

the delay in the writ petition.

Mr.Kapoor, learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner had got so frustrated by the impugned order that he went into depression and that is what had prevented him from seeking timely legal recourse. No medical certificates had been filed with the petition to support the said submission.

We are of the opinion that the present petition ought not to be entertained in view of the gross delay on the part of the petitioner, without a worthwhile explanation for seeking condonation of delay. 5.

The petition is dismissed in limine along with pending applications.
