W.P.(CRL) 2210/2016 By this petition the petitioner seeks quashing of FIR No.396/2016 under Sections 376/313/506 IPC registered at PS New Ashok Nagar, Delhi on the ground that the parties are now happily married. Considering the seriousness of the offence involved in the FIR the same cannot be quashed as per the decision of the Supreme Court reported as 2012 (9) Scale 257: 2012 (10) SCC 303 Gian Singh vs. State of Punjab & Anr.

Petition is dismissed.
