% 08.12.2016 The status report has been filed. The address of the petitioner has been got verified. It is verified that the ailing mother of the petitioner is with one of her other sons, i.e. brother of the petitioner. The nominal roll shows that the petitioner is serving a life sentence in case FIR No.183/2006 u/s 302. He has already undergone over 10 years 2 months and 12 days incarceration as on 15.07.2016. His jail conduct was found to be unsatisfactory upto 31.05.2014. However, thereafter he was granted parole for 30 days by this court between 17.09.2015 and 18.10.2015. During the said period, it is not reported that his conduct was unsatisfactory or that he

indulged in any other crime.

In view of the aforesaid, since the last punishment inflicted upon the petitioner was nearly 3 years ago, in my view, the petitioner is entitled to be released on parole with a view to reconnect the social ties and meet his mother.

In these circumstances, the petitioner is directed to be released on parole for a period of four weeks subject to: i) his furnishing personal bond with one surety in the sum of Rs.10,000/- to the satisfaction of the Jail Superintendent; ii) he shall provide his mobile phone number to the Jail Superintendent at the time of his release, which shall be kept in working condition at all times. The same shall not be changed without prior intimation to the Jail Superintendent;

iii) he shall report at the local police station to mark his attendance on every Monday at 11:00 a.m. during the period of parole; iv) he shall duly surrender at the end of the period of parole; and v) he shall also not indulge in any criminal activity while on parole.
