% 05.08.2016 Complainant is present in Court. She is identified by her Advocate Mr. Ritesh Kumar Tiwari. She has produced her Electoral Photo Identity Card. Copy of the same is already on record. The petitioner has filed the present petition seeking quashing of FIR No.332/2014 registered on the complaint of the complainant under Sections 498A/ 406/ 34 IPC against the petitioners.

The petitioner No.1 and the respondent No.2 are married according to Hindu rites on 27.06.2001. Since disputes arose between the parties, they started living separately and respondent No.2 filed her complaint leading to registration of the aforesaid FIR at Police Station Sultanpuri. The parties have arrived at a settlement on 28.07.2015 in mediation, which has been placed on record. The complainant states that under the settlement, she has already received Rs.60,000/- from the petitioners and Rs.40,000, has been paid to her in Court today. She joins the prayer for quashing of the FIR in question.

Accordingly, no useful purpose would be served in proceeding further with the FIR in question and the proceedings arising therefrom. The same are hereby quashed.
