By this petition, petitioner seeks parole on the ground that he has to maintain social ties and also challenges communication dated 29th June, 2018 whereby parole granted to the petitioner was rejected on the ground of punishment awarded to the petitioner on 20th January, 2018. 2.

A status report has been filed. As per the status report, verification was done from House No.32, Block-C, Vishwakarma Colony, PS Pul Prahladpur, address of the friend of petitioner who stated that the petitioner would stay at the given address if parole is granted to him. 3.

As per the nominal roll, the petitioner was being granted regular paroles and furloughs in the years 2015, 2016, 2017, however, due to his unsatisfactory jail conduct and the punishment awarded to him on 20th January, 2018, this year he has neither been granted parole nor furlough. W.P.(CRL) 2241/2018

Considering the facts verified and that previously when the petitioner was granted parole/furlough, there is no allegation of misuse of the concession and the petitioner surrendered in time, this Court deems it fit to grant parole to the petitioner. It is therefore, directed that the petitioner be released on parole for a period of four weeks from the date of his release on his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of ₹25,000/- with one surety of the like amount, subject to the satisfaction of the Superintendent, Tihar Jail, further subject to the condition that during the parole period, the surety of the petitioner will keep his mobile phone in active mode, so that the petitioner can be contacted, further the petitioner will not leave the territory of NCT of Delhi during the parole period.
