% 25.02.2026 1.

Vide order dated 10.02.2026, the Hon'ble Court has, inter alia, directed as under:- ".....

i.

The appellant shall pay a sum of Rs.7,00,000/- to the respondent along with interest at the rate of 8% per annum from 18th July, 2009.

ii.

The appellant shall pay a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- towards damages.

iii.

The appellant shall pay costs of Rs.21,044/-..... 5.

It is stated that a sum of Rs.12,70,000/- has been deposited by the appellant with the Registry of this Court. 5.1 Accordingly, the Registry shall release the amount due to the respondent in terms of the above settlement, out of the aforesaid deposit.

5.2 The balance amount, if any, shall be released to the appellant....."

FDR comes to ₹20,65,342/- (subject to TDS & pre-mature penalty, if any). 3.

Today, learned counsel for the respondent has placed on record calculation sheet in respect of the total amount to be released in favour of respondent in terms of the aforesaid order passed by the Hon'ble Court. He has also placed on record the copy of the cancelled cheque of the bank account of the respondent in which the amount is to be remitted. 4.

Registrar (B&A) is directed to verify the aforesaid calculation and accordingly remit the amount to the bank account of the respondent, the details of which have been provided in the form of cancelled cheque of the bank of respondent by the learned counsel, and balance amount be released to the appellant in terms of the aforesaid order passed by the Hon'ble Court.
