% 08.11.2017 Respondent no. 2 is sister-in-law (wife's sister) of petitioner. On the complaint of respondent no. 2, present FIR No. 159/2014 under Sections 354A/509 IPC was registered at Police Station Kirti Nagar. It is submitted that there was marital discord between the petitioner and his wife, which led to registration of a FIR under Section 498-A/406 IPC. All the disputes have been settled between the petitioner and his wife.

Petitioner has also settled the matter with the respondent no. 2 amicably.

Respondent no. 2 is present in Court and has been identified by SI Paritosh Rathi of police station Kirti Nagar. She says that she has settled the matter with petitioner of her own free will,

voluntarily and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She submits that she is not willing to pursue the FIR any further and the same may be quashed. Affidavit of respondent no. 2 is also on record at pages 10 to 12. Respondent no. 2 has admitted her signatures on this affidavit. Keeping in mind the facts and circumstances as detailed above, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 159/2014 under Sections 354A/509 IPC registered at Police Station Kirti Nagar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed, in view of the settlement.
