% 05.08.2016 Present contempt petition has been filed alleging wilful disobedience of the order dated 6th February, 2015 passed by this Court. After passing of the said order, a Division Bench of this Court while disposing of LPA No.136/2016 vide judgment and order dated 18th May, 2016 has interpreted the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014 as well as rules framed thereunder and has given binding directions.
Consequently, present contempt petition and applications have become infructuous and they stand disposed of.
In the event, the petitioner is of the view that the Division Bench order is not being complied with, petitioner is given liberty to file appropriate proceedings in accordance with law.
