% 03.08.2018 Notice. Learned APP accepts notice for respondent no.1. Respondent no.2 is also present in Court and accepts notice. She has been identified by ASI Shiv Lal of police station Ambedkar Nagar. Respondent no.2 submits that she has settled all her disputes with the petitioners of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion, before the Mediation Centre, Saket Courts, New Delhi on 16.02.2016. She further submits that her marriage with petitioner no.1 has been dissolved by a Decree of Divorce dated 23.05.2018 by Family Court South, Saket, New Delhi. She further submits that she has already received

entire settled amount from the petitioners, therefore, she has no objection in case FIR No. 999/2015 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Ambedkar Nagar and the consequent proceedings are quashed against the petitioner and his relatives. Affidavit of respondent No.2 is on record.

Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no.2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
