% 01.08.2016 Learned counsel for the respondent puts in appearance and accepts notice and states that the vakalatnama shall be filed by tomorrow. The petitioner has filed the present petition seeking quashing of FIR No.1153/2015 u/s 420/34 IPC registered on the complaint of the complainant against the petitioner.

The parties have arrived at a settlement which has been placed on record. Out of the settlement amount of Rs.45 lacs, 35 lacs already stands paid and the balance amount of Rs.10 lacs has been paid in court today by pay order. The complainant also joins the prayer for quashing of the FIR in

question.

Accordingly, no useful purpose would be served in proceeding further with the FIR in question and the proceedings arising therefrom. The same are hereby quashed.
