O R D E R

% 01.08.2016 Petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 were married on 24th February, 2008. Petitioner nos.2 to 4 are the relatives of petitioner no.1. Over the period, the relations between petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 got strained.

On the complaint of respondent no.2, present FIR No.639/2015 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC was registered at police station Burari. Now the petitioners and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably before the Delhi Mediation Centre, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi on 19th June, 2015.

Marriage between petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 has already been dissolved by way of a decree of divorce by mutual consent.

Respondent no.2 admits having received the entire settled amount. She has no objection, in case the present FIR is quashed. It may be noted that investigations are still pending.

Keeping in mind the facts that the parties have settled their disputes amicably and marriage between the petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 has already been dissolved by way of a decree of divorce by mutual consent, no fruitful purpose would be served by keeping the criminal proceedings pending, in the interest of justice, the present FIR No.639/2015 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Burari and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
