% 17.10.2017 Ms. Manju Gupta @ Bhawna, respondent no.2 is present in Court alongwith her counsel and has been identified by SI Avaneesh Kumar, Police Station Farsh Bazar. She says that she has settled the matter with the petitioner before the Mediation Centre, Karkardooma Courts on 26th November, 2014. She further submits that her marriage with the petitioner has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent passed by the Family Court, Karkardooma Courts, Shahdara, Delhi on 6th June, 2016. She submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. Respondent no.2 submits that in view of the settlement arrived at with the petitioner before the Mediation Centre, she is not willing to pursue criminal proceedings against the petitioner and she has no objection if the FIR

No.168/2011 under Section 498A/406/34 IPC registered at PS Frash Bazar is quashed.

Keeping in mind that marriage between the petitioner and respondent no.2 has already been dissolved by mutual consent and that respondent no. 2 is not willing to pursue the FIR any further, in the interest of justice, FIR No.168/2011 under Section 498A/406/34 IPC registered at PS Farsh Bazar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom, are quashed.
