CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE ASHUTOSH KUMAR
O R D E R
% 04.08.2017 The petitioner seeks bail in connection with FIR No.172/2014 dated 24.04.2014 (PS N.F. Colony) instituted for the offences under section 186/307/332/353/34 of the IPC.
The petitioner is in custody since 01.05.2014. The petitioner is said to have occupied a vehicle which was driven in such a manner that it caused injuries to one of the Constable in the police party who had tried to stop the vehicle. However, the injuries suffered by the aforesaid constable are simple in nature.
It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that other co-accused persons have been granted bail.
Regard being had to the nature of accusation in the FIR and the period of custody, this Court is inclined to release the petitioner on bail. Let the petitioner be released on bail on his furnishing a bond in the
sum of Rs.10,000/- with one surety of the like amount to the satisfaction of the Trial Court.
The petitioner shall, however, participate in the trial and his absence from the Trial Court on two consecutive dates without any plausible explanation would entitle the Trial Court to cancel his bail. The application is disposed of.
