versus SANJAY AWASTHI & ORS ..... Respondents Through: None.
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE MANMOHAN
O R D E R
% 17.04.2017 Present contempt petition has been filed alleging wilful disobedience of the order dated 01st March, 2017 passed in W.P.(C) 627/2017 wherein it was expected by the Court that respondent shall consider the reply to the show cause notice submitted by the petitioner on 28th February, 2017 as expeditiously as possible.
Learned counsel for petitioner states that despite the aforesaid order, respondent has not considered the petitioner's reply till date. However, this Court is of the view that as no specific deadline was stipulated by the Court and contempt proceedings are quasi criminal in nature, present contempt petition is not maintainable. Accordingly, present contempt petition and application are dismissed. However, the petitioner is given liberty to file a fresh writ petition in accordance with law.
