Pursuant to the last date of hearing, Mr. Katyal, learned counsel for the petitioners hands over a copy of the letter dated 10.04.2018, addressed to him by the department stating inter alia that the department is ready and willing to withdraw the present petition and thereafter take a fresh view on the transfer of the respondent No.1, subject to the demands of administrative exigencies.

It is further stated that the said decision will be taken uninfluenced by any of the extraneous circumstances noted by the Tribunal in para 35 of the impugned judgment dated 13.07.2016. W.P.(C) 6736/2016

While taking on record the aforesaid letter, the present petition is disposed of as not pressed alongwith the pending applications, with liberty granted to the petitioner as prayed for.
