IN THE HIGH COURT OF DELHI AT NEW DELHI
+ CRL.M.C. 5149/2013 HEMANT KUMAR SHARMA & ORS ..... Petitioners Through Mr. M.L. Yadav with Mr. Narsingh Narain Rai, Advocates.
versus STATE & ORS ..... Respondents Through Mr. Mukesh Kumar, APP for the State.

CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE SANJEEV SACHDEVA
O R D E R
% 05.02.2018 1.
The petitioners seek quashing of FIR No.96/2000 under Sections 420/468/471/120B IPC, Police Station Prashant Vihar based on a settlement.
2.
Parties have settled their disputes through the compromise deed dated 04.01.2013.
3.
The respondent Nos.2 to 4 were to be paid a total sum of Rs.4,00,000/- in full and final settlement of all their claims. The balance sum of Rs.2,50,000/- had earlier been paid. Thereafter, the petitioner paid another sum of Rs. 1,00,000/- to respondent Nos.2 to 4. The balance sum of Rs.50,000/- has been paid to the respondent No.2 to 4 in cash today in Court.
4.
The respondents are present in person and are identified by the Investigating Officer.
They submit that they have settled their disputes with the petitioners and do not wish to press charges against the petitioners CRL.M.C. 5149/2013
and prosecute the complaint any further.
5.
In view of the fact that the parties have fully and finally settled their disputes and the respondents have stated that they do not wish to press the complaint any further, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served in continuing with the criminal proceedings as there is a very slim chance of conviction in the present case and it would also be expedient and in the interest of justice, that the subject FIR and the proceedings arising there from are quashed.
6.
In view of the above, FIR No.96/2000 under Sections 420/468/471/120B IPC, Police Station Prashant Vihar and the consequent proceedings emanating there from are quashed. 7.
