All the 54 petitioner have filed the present petition praying inter alia for issuance of a writ of mandamus to the respondents/UOI and DG, SSB for holding a cadre review for the post Senior Field Assistant (Medical) and to provide them promotional avenues upto the level of Deputy Director (Medical), with all consequential benefits, by restricting the promotion of Lab Technician and Pharmacist to Dy. Field Officers (Medical). 2.
Learned counsel for the respondents submits that after the date the present petition was filed, the respondents have completed the process of conducting a Cadre Review of Non-Combatised Cadres of Sashastra Seema Bal and passed an order dated 18.10.2017. The said order also includes the cadre, subject matter of the present petition. He states that the aforesaid order has been filed by the petitioners themselves and if they do have a grievance, it is for them to seek their legal remedy in accordance with law but the present petition has been rendered infructuous. In view of the fact that cadre review in respect of Non-Combatised Cadres has already been conducted by the respondents vide order dated 18.10.2017, the present petition is disposed of along with the pending application. If the petitioners are still aggrieved, it is for them to seek their remedies, in accordance with law.
